On 25 September 2026, the Laboratory for Life Sciences and Technology (LiST) of Danube Private University (DPU) participated in the 7th Erwin Schrödinger Symposium, “Advanced Materials and Methods in Biomedical Applications,” held at BOKU University in Vienna. The event brought together researchers working in the fields of nanoscience, advanced materials, bioengineering, and biomedical applications.

Eight members of the LiST team attended the symposium, with five presenting their current research as posters. The contributions included research on microneedle interfaces for continuous biosensing, longitudinal monitoring of reproductive ageing, and the development of optical and electrochemiluminescent sensors. Further contributions focused on plasmonic surfaces and novel materials for VOC sensing. Roger Hasler also participated in the symposium representing the COMET Project PI-SENS, highlighting the project’s research activities in intelligent sensing systems and personalized medicine.

The symposium provided the LiST team with an excellent opportunity to present ongoing research, exchange ideas across disciplines, and establish new scientific connections within the biomedical and nanoscience communities.
