In February, members of the LiST research team from the Danube Private University (DPU) and employees of the FZU – Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, along with partner institutions, gathered to exchange insights and advancements in optical nanomaterials and bioanalytical sensor methods.

Following a welcome by Dr. Jakub Dostalek, presentations covered topics such as SERS-based sensors, plasmonic biosensors, nanoparticle synthesis, and single-molecule detection. Program highlights included presentations by Juan Allegretto, Dario Cattozzo Mor, Melina Arcidiacono, Gizem Aktug, and Roger Hasler.

In this context, Pi-Sense Team member Roger Hasler presented the work about novel dual-mode sensor approaches that integrate optical and electronic readouts to study biomolecular interactions at the interface.

The exchange between DPU and FZU has already led to joint publications demonstrating the strength of interdisciplinary collaboration.
