Last Thursday, the Innovation Award was presented at the Technopol Wiener Neustadt. With this award, the initiators – ecoplus, accent, tecnet equity, and the Fachhochschule Wiener Neustadt – encourage the local research community to consider the economic viability of their developments at an early stage.
The award, endowed with € 1,500 per category, was presented by an expert jury in three categories. The prize money was sponsored by ecoplus Niederösterreichs Wirtschaftsagentur GmbH as part of Technopol Wiener Neustadt, tecnet equity NÖ Technologiebeteiligungs-Invest GmbH, accent Inkubator GmbH, and the Fachhochschule Wiener Neustadt GmbH.
From DPU, Roger Hasler, together with Christoph Kleber and Wolfgang Knoll, submitted their development of an innovative multi-sensor system that enables simultaneous optical and electrical surface analysis of various materials. The system is based on a chip that is cost-effective and can be manufactured on an industrial scale. With this innovative solution, they impressed the jury and won the Innovation Award in the category “Start-Up – Innovative Business Ideas”.
We thank the organizers, the jury, and the sponsors and are delighted to receive this prestigious award.
