On October 10, 2025, the Danube Private University Austria (DPU) took part in the Lower Austria Research Festival at Palais Niederösterreich in Vienna, presenting the work of its three research groups: MIAAI, LiST and CAROM.

At the LiST booth, titled “What can light tell us about our health?”, part of the PI-SENS team - Katharina Schmidt, Roger Hasler and Gonzalo Fenoy - together with Juan Allegretto and Naoto Asai from LiST demonstrated how light-based sensors can help us to detect affinity interactions at the interface. These insights contribute to the development of future optical biosensors for healthcare applications.
The DPU teams appreciated the opportunity to engage with a wide audience and share their research. Events like this help foster dialogue between science and society and highlight the importance of research in shaping future solutions. A big thank you to the Land Niederösterreich for the great organization of this wonderful event!
