Dr. Gonzalo Fenoy participated in the Seminar “Sensor Systems for One Health,” organized by Fraunhofer ENAS in Chemnitz. This inspiring two-day event focused on how innovative technologies can advance the One Health approach, which recognizes the interconnected health of humans, animals, and the environment.

The program brought together representatives from both industry and academia to discuss how intelligent systems can support fields such as human and veterinary medicine, environmental and agricultural sciences, and food technology. Topics included wearables, biosensors, diagnostics, organ-on-a-chip and microphysiological systems, as well as new developments in (micro-)fabrication.

Overall, the event provided valuable insights into how modern sensor systems can enable early detection of pathogens, capture critical health data, and monitor living conditions — ultimately supporting rapid diagnosis and healthier futures for both humans and animals.
